That is one of the reason why him keeping the exoskeleton makes no sense. He couldn't put CoA on because he didn't wanted to hurt BM's hand, now every women that punches him would brake their fist...
Sanji would blame himself for that.
But now this is actually something new, now Sanji may put more efforts on being more racional and less emotionaly driven while saving a lady in danger, his body is tough even without haki

Sanji got so damn worried and shocked with the supposed "sexual abuse trap" that Black Maria made that he couldn't afford to use CoO and not get kicked by Gifters. We know since Katakuri how being shocked and emotional makes your CoO work poorly

I was even thinking about Sanji struggling between these 2 versions of himself on the way he and his siblings treat women. The first thing Sanji remind when he realized he beat that innocent girl was his siblings beating Cosette unconscious, pissing Sanji off completely

So now this evil side of Sanji could be constantly fighting with his good gentleman side, since the Awakening seems to be complete according to him (and yet he beat a girl). Obviously his good side will prevail, but the way he faces female enemies, alongside with the Exoskeleton toughness, could drastically change for now on

cause he doesn't know he can turn invisible without the rs, we'll find out next chapter i guess
It really looked like he used invisibility on purpose so I think he knew he could do it, that's why it makes no sense. The only explanation I could think of is he thinks using invisibility means being emotionless and he wouldn't want to risk being emotionless just to spy on women in bathhouses, as it could result in him hurting them.

Just do something else I guess. Dont go online a lot when it's spoiler time and find another hobby.
I mean between my job and personal life, I don't have a lot of free time on my hands for One Piece or other hobbies so when I have some spare time for One Piece, I'd rather use it early instead of waiting for 3 extra days. That's why I needed a good reason to keep myself from reading spoilers.

It's different, using CoA to protect oneself is a conscious choice so using it against Black Maria would have meant choosing to hurt her. But he has no control over the exoskeleton, it's a passive power so those who hurt themselves trying to hit him are the only ones responsible for their own pain.

I’m hoping that he’s at least able to soften his exoskeleton somehow.

It makes no difference. You think Sanji would be ok with it? It's stil his body that would hurt them and if you say it's their fault since they are trying to punch him, then how would that be different from Sanji using CoA? They stil would hurt themselfs because of his CoA, which is why Sanji wouldn't use it. Passive or not, Sanji would not be a fan of it.

Why though ? So he can be nice towards evil bitches trying to hurt a defenseless person who doesn't even try to hurt them ? I'd rather they hurt themselves because karma.

But is it more about what Sanji thinks or what he actually does ? As long as he doesn't do anything wrong and stays true to his principles, he has nothing to blame himself for. If he doesn't even try to defend himself and women still hurt themselves hitting him, he's not at fault. Otherwise what's the next step, is he gonna end up apoligizing for existing ?

Mostly so Nami doesn't hurt her hand when she hits him.
