I personally love Luffy's casting. Especially after the video. He definitely carries Luffy's energy imo and his smile is great which is an important factor. I personally had the least expectations for his casting.

I think One Piece is hard to adapt in Live Action, but there's still a small possibility that the show is good to new viewers if they do a really good job with the writing. I assume most manga readers won't like it because it will probably skip a lot of stuff and they won't be able to see it as its own thing.

I think the best thing that could happen is that Disney buys One Piece and they integrate it into the MCU. That way they'll get to appear in the next avengers movie and it'll be amazing.
