Hmm, I'm guessing aside from the shape, due to the dough and that they have similar ingredients maybe? A topping of tomatoes, peppers, onions meat and herbs? Maybe it's done to help people relate to them and want to try them?
It is very different despite some similarities ofc but I think it might be done for tourists and such?

When I was on holiday in Turkey, the tourists would refuse to eat anything Turkish, well anything they didn't recognise or had "weird names" and they all gravitated towards the english food section of the hotel's food service and just had pizza, chips, omelettes etc everyday, it was depressing to watch. I was trying the Turkish food and loving it!

:neesama::goatasure:
The only Turkish food I have ever eaten is Kebab and I never got tired.

In general Pizza, but pasta isn't really a fair competetor here.
The question should be Pizza vs Hamburger.

Pasta can be so much more than what pizza can be.
Pasta is spaghetti, lasagna, macaroni, penne, etc. etc.

so since Pasta is too broad of a food, I would say it has the upper edge. But a great pizza will probably always lure me in over good pasta.

Are you also Italian like me or did you just have the luck to try them or wished to? 🤔
There's a really great authentic Italian restaurant near where I live, so I've had the luxury of trying amazing pasta, which is much harder to find compared to a good pizza, in my opinion.

An unbelievably difficult choice, even harder than choosing a favorite child…I’m gonna give the slimmest of edges to pizza, but ask me on another day and that answer might change :datas:
What I meant to say was, “I have eaten large enough quantities of both in my long and unhealthy life that I could realistically make a sentient, fully functioning clone of myself from either one and start the world’s worst barbershop trio of all time” :youcraz:

You're already running a gym and a newspaper, what's next!? And I'm still waiting for the discount you promised me when I signed that blood contract!
