King's raw strength was compared to that of a giant and a fishman. Zoro wasn't sure why King is that power and what race he is. Fishmen and giants are naturally stronger than humans. Now give their physique to someone like King, whose DF is already ancient zoan, and it really makes a lot of difference. I'm actually surprised how King matches Zoro with no hardening feat, he's really strong.
