Well his race, was the main focus of this chapter, and it look like more hype than his DF power relate to a dinosaur. So King race is something very special. That is what Oda want to show here.

it's not just his race, his combat strength and physical ability are surprisingly off the charts, not only did he overpower zoro using hybrid form, he also overpowered him in base form using swordsmanship which is zoro's forte.

Fighting 2 top tiers at the same time without having his daddy to bail him out is a concept beyond the grasp of a mere candyboy since Lanji can't fight nor will he ever fight a top tier or be one for that matter.

He never had Daddy to bail him out. He has Enma and Law to bail him out though. And if enma and law is not enough, he has chopper to protect him while on mummy mode and he has the miracle steroids from Zou to get him on his feet again. Hmmm, Maybe without Law to bail him out, he would have been torn into pieces from attempting to block what he believed he could take. lol

Kaido, in his dragon form, coughed up blood and had white eyes from same attack.

Durability wise: King's wing > Kaido's dragon scale > King's body (not his wings).
So most durable part of King is more durable than most durable part of Kaido

I think his entire body becomes more durable when he coats himself in flames not just the wings

If only his Vivre Card didn't say he joined Kaido because he was blown away by his incredible strength, then maybe you're copium could be at least somewhat valid.

30+ years ago or whenever he joined, he might have been impressed by Kaido.
Today, King is the more impressive one.

Enma drains haki and hence not powerup. So does Luffy G4. Guess G4 is not a powerup. Or Kid and Law awakening is not powerup because it drains their stamina. Or Bigmom creating soul weapons with life span draining is not a powerup. Zorotards and their clownery part 101.

Difference is, all of Luffy, Law, Kidd, and BM's attack power increase drastically with G4/awakening/lifespan consuming.

Zoro's AP doesn't increase drastically with trading Shusui with Enma.

Nobody knew King powers back then but he was quite likely to be Zoro fight and as Zoro fight he was sure to be a pain for him and at least an high diff fight.

Kaido is still more durable than King. King was specifically guarding himself, while Kaido eats blows. And even though Ryuo bypasses his scales, the cuts are very shallow. Even the Togen Totsuka of 4 scabbards, including a Sulong Duke, couldn't even reopen his scar.

Kaido is hyped for being an unlikable durability freak. Not King.

king block tatsumi, which was enough to bypass Kaido scales and free luffy from Kaido. It true that King blocked this attack, and kaido didnt.

Not the same. There is a difference between using a power/DF/weapon that consumes haki or energy compared to using one that makes it harder for you to control your power.

A weighted vest is not a powerup just because you can grow stronger and faster from training with it.

Don't forget how Zoro struggled against Mr. 1 throughout his fight and when he figured out the right technique he literally one shotted the guy..
