You are right. But Zoro will still be second or equal to Luffy, no matter if Zoro has more lethal power or not. They will always be equal or Luffy edging.

Zoro being as strong as he is in wano, before his full control of Enma, just proves that Luffy was Yc1 tier when he came back from the time skip.

Man, I remember making these Zoro/Rayleigh comparisons like a decade ago. Feels good when it's actually coming true.

Well it is kinda obvious, but Zoro aint a copy, they just have resemblances.

Chapter 1033. Yes. Zoro is a confirmed Conqueror Haki and Advanced Conqueror Haki user.
Which, for Kaido's own very words, it's something that "only a handful of the very strongest" can do.

And he is about to defeat a YC1 (who, by the way, is the strongest YC1 we've seen up to now: invulnerable, can't be wounded even from attacks that could wound Kaido, casually self kills him with a massive explosion as big as Onigashima's skull and comes back as if nothing happened, casually destroys pieces of Onigashima with his Zoan attacks, it's hyped even by his YC2 as the last member of lost a race of Gods).
And to defeat a YC1 in a clear way (especially someone who seems to be a class of his own even among YC1s), you need to be a Top Tier. Otherwise you draw or you just win only marginally. So yes: now Zoro is a Top Tier.

Most important thing: Zoro is confirmed to not be just a simple underling, but a king in his own way.
Unlike the other Strawhats, Zoro isn't a mere follower: he is a king who partners with another king.
That's why Zoro and Luffy are referred as PARTNERS.

This is a clear parallel to Dark King Rayleigh. Rember all those panels where Zoro is thought to be the real captain of the Strawhats? Or where people wonder why he isn't the captain, or why he isn't the captain of his own crew? Now everything makes sense.

That's because Zoro is a CONQUEROR. He is a KING in his own way (King of Swordsmen).
Just like Luffy is a CONQUEROR and a KING in his own way (King of Pirates).

Exactly like Rayleigh was a Conqueror and a King just like Roger was a Conqueror and a King.
We have now blatant confirmation that Zoro = Rayleigh and Luffy = Roger
It was obvious, but some people still doubted. Now it's clear as day. Luffy is the Future King of Pirates, the new Gol D Roger, while Zoro is the Future World Strongest Swordsman and the New Generation Dark King, the Right Hand of the King of Pirates, the new Silvers Rayleigh.

Captain and vice captain/first mate/right hand/second strongest/second in command.
But, nowadays, we can clearly say that it's also Future Pirate King and Future Dark King.

Now all of this makes sense. Because both of them are Conquerors.
Destined to excel to the top of the world, and strong willed enough to do so, unlike the other Strawhats.

Zoro is not really the Rayleigh. Zoro is the Zoro or the Ryuma of his generation.

And though he may be the "Rayleigh" of the new generation in terms of Piracy, he's clearly on a different level.

Zoro needs the ability that Luffy is using to defeat a Yonko, to defeat a YC1. Either that hasn't sunk in for them, or the copium is at critical levels.

It doesn't make Zoro weak. But Luffy defeated a YC1 without the use of such a powerful ability. If Zoro was on par with Luffy, he'd be able to do the same.

Well, sharing a similar rank isn't going to prevent them from being stronger than one another unless you wanna tell me Zoro's future opponent Shiryu is close to his current opponent King.

Isn't Zoro going to defeat a YC1 in minutes, as if YC1 was a level but moving on, while Luffy can't beat Kaido?
If King functions anything like Marco and Prometheus then Luffy can't even defeat this YC1

Thing is Shiryu could be close to Kings level and still provide an extreme diff fight. Say Shiryu can not only make himself invisible physically but also make his presence invisible - that would provide Zoro with an extreme diff fight as he would need to get his CoO to Mihawk/Fujitora level in order to know where Shiryu is.

We already know Shiryu is an extremely lethal opponent and Zoro has an ordinary body, if he gets sliced he takes damage. In other words this could get ugly fast for Zoro. So in a way King with his extremely sturdy body that you need AdCoC for and Shiryus (potentially) invisible presence that you need AdCoO for might be the two training tools required for Zoro to get on Mihawks level.

And it would be very interesting to see King vs Shiryu, perhaps it would be a draw if Shiryu can not damage King and King can't find Shiryu.

So Zoro with a level of AP that can barely beat a YC1 and a level of COO that can barely detect another YC1 is gonna beat Mihawk?

You do know King has displayed the highest durability feats in the entire series bar Jozu? Higher than Big Mom, higher than Kaido. It doesn't mean King is stronger than Big Mom or Kaido it simply means his durability is better than theirs. Doesn't mean Jozu is stronger than Whitebeard either.

And you do know Katakuri has displayed better CoO than Big Mom or Kaido, probably only Fujitora has matched him as well as Mihawk has been hinted.

Aisa, Shyarly are some of the most impressive CoO-users in the OP-universe, Momonosuke has Voice of all things, Crackers CoA was better than Luffys. No character in One Piece is a 10 in every field, some are 10 in one field and 6 or 7 in the rest. It would surprise me if Mihawks durability is higher than Kings so if Zoro can hurt King he should be able to hurt Mihawk. Hawk Eyes CoO might be the best in the series though.
