Kaido was probably stronger in the flashback, because he engaged in a lot of battles (vs. Moriah, vs Oden). In the past 20 years, he was only sitting around and drinking.

Now he needs shit on him as much as possible to make the 2 week training swing believeable.

That clash is not even impressive and that was a weaker Kaido than now

The fact WB didnt avenge Oden nor take down this version of Kaido and his empire just tells me

Rock pirates dont like fighting each other for the sake of it, and WB/BM werent that much strong

Yet WB BM Navy coulnt keep this chained or take him out totally as how Teach took out WB pirates totally.

Im interesting to see how Oden give Kaido is scar, with a normal hardening sword slash or a attack with advanced CoA??
If he use advanced CoA, it probably show how Luffy can hurt Kaido later in the arc.
