Arabs usually export pages in 1600x2300px which is upscaling them
We export in 900x1300 which is the more natural size for paper scans.
(As an example, Viz sizing is 960x1400, and Volume HQ are usually around 1080x1600)
It's similar to people claiming Anime in 60FPS looks so much better when in reality it isn't and it throws the timing off and interlaces cuts.
The same holds true for upscaling as it extends and expands patterns and details that weren't meant to be.
One more thing is how the page looks on the website. If the pages have a big size they will cover up the entire screen and you'll only be able to see & read like 1/3rd of a page at once. On our site you'll see half the page (smaller size, easier to read on desktop screen)
Now, the thing we definetly commend arabs on is them having half an army of Highly efficient redrawers that manually redraw lost details. Most of the times with great success. They are restoring details that got lost in the cleaning process and redrawing them in photoshop. Occasionally it's a bit off from the original drawing which you can see after the official release is out, but most of the times its authentic and looks good.
It should be mentioned that we work on 3 other series parallel-y (JJK, BC, MHA) most of the times and have not the time to give one series 5-10 hours of our time to manually redraw tiny details tht got lost when running filters. I personally give OP a more preferential treatment over others and invest more time into cleaning it weekly and restoring details since I care for it more (while knowing people shit on our quality compared to the arab release) and I'm usually quite happy with the end result given our circumstances.
hope that makes it a bit clearer
