I see what you're tryna get at, but Wano is a massive country with a lot of regions, similar to Japan, so Ryuma could have simply been wandering from one region to another.

With regards to the monsters thing, from the way Oda phrased his words in the above sbs, from the english translations at least, I think it's just a case of Oda integrating the Ryuma from monsters into one piece, and replicating his feats from monsters in one piece. So monsters isn't necessarily a prequel to one piece like I initially thought. Oda just copy and pasted the character from one verse into another I reckon. So yh I think @Garp the Fist is right

After Kaido dies, Zoro will become the new Wano god.

More than anyone else especially strawhats zoro's plot seems to be the most focused on wano itself and its people

Hes connection with yasu, him being the closest and first of them to meet hiyori, clash with likely the current strongest samurai kyoshiro, and his grudge against orochi

While orochi himself likely aint a monster when it comes to how strong he is he is still extremely important and a secondary antagonist. That zoro himself wants to go after.
His defeat is undeniably the second most important of the arc and a big ass deal. linlin not included tho cause idk about her. Beating orochi would definitely make zoro look like a hero in the eyes of the people of wano

Again not saying its impossible for zoro to cut kaido and yes i do still think hes fighting king. At the same time i think most of his plotline will have to do with things and people from wano.

Yes Enma's job was to prepare Zoro for the fight and that's it

Oden himself used both his sword to scar Kaido. Zoro might very well use any of his Katana
