Let him first control his metals :shame:
Vikas out here with the deadly hook, no seconds wasted.

I wasn't talking about disarming people with magnetism alone, I meant disarming them with his metal arms(as in grabbing the sword with his metal arm and twisting it out of his opponent's hand)
Disarming with magnetism or the latter (which is even worse for Kid) isn’t going to work on the stronger swordsmen in the verse. Physical strength and haki are normally going to act as reputable counters to such moves from Kid.

You're talkin headcanon
The circumstances are not confirmed and the fact Oda has been hiding it suggests that he didn't lose it the way people think he did
kid says he lost his arm during his encounter with the red hair pirates… So he lost it in combat… Either it was cut off or someone used their bare hands to rip it off … Pick one

Haki should be a counter. Fodder swords were melting near Akainu in Marineford while Vista and Shanks had no issues cutting him or blocking him with their swords.

If Haki can counter Akainu's magma, it surely can counter Kid's magnetism.

I have my own theories about what happened in that clash
@Pantheos too
We shared them on the forum already

Point is, Oda wants you to think of it as a battle injury when it probably was a deliberate sacrifice...
yep. I stated it pretty much when he told us he lost his arm to red hair.
Because he explicitly not said he lost it by fight.
I always thought he gave it as sacrifice for example killer.

Otherwise it sounds like a weird coincidence that he lost specially his arm, when shanks have the same lost, while shanks lost it as sacrifice.

Better control doesn't mean he is overcoming other swordsmen strength to disarm their swords
Knowing Oda if Kidd pulled his magnetic powers on Zoro he would probably make it such stats counted a lot to determine the outcome and maybe even if he portrayed the magnetic force to be strong enough to take them away from him he would grant him the capability to get them back somehow.

Based on how haki works with similar powers like that if Zoro's blades are coated with haki Kid shouldn't be able to pull them.

Kid is the natural enemy of any weapon user. On low to mid-lever tier, there wont be anyone withstanding his magnetic force. Everything above will be a haki-matchup. If Kid can overpower the haki-level, he can disarm the enemy, if not, then not. And following his growing rate, i would guess no one below YC1 can withstand his magnetic force anymore.

In my opinion, King, Katakuri and Zoro would struggle alot against that power, holding their weapons. And even when they would be able to keep them in hand, they would be slowed down extremely.
Even Yonko seem to have struggle with it at this point, since Kid is able to hold Napoleon away from Linlin. Will be interesting to see it going onward.

Tl;Dr: Yes he is the natural enemy of any weapon user, but it also is depending on the haki level of his enemy. But even then, it should slow down the enemy.
