Ironically King struggles with Pica much more than Katakuri.

King can melt the whole statue just as easily as Katakuri turns it into mochi. Or he can scatter the whole thing to bits using Tempura Udon, which easily exposes Pica.

People with awakening like Doffy and Kata are a big counter against Pica

Being serious, awakening wont do the job. Luffy with Gear 3 could break his head, while Chinjao and King Eliza destroyed an arm.

At best, it will take a spam of 15 gear 3 attacks to fully destroy Pica's golem.

Katakuri will be able to do it and King might have a bit more trouble with slashes, he must do some blunt attacks to destroy and not cut.

While awakening will be to much wasted power, since Katakuri's awakening speed is too slow and very small compared to Doflamingo's.

It has nothing to do with destructive power he turns pica rocks into mochi making his df useless and you talking about speed pica has zero chance of touching katakuri some how he tag him non of his rocks could hurt katakuri because of having logia powers.
