General & Others Oden was a shit leader and deserved to die

If Oden really wanted to save Wano and its people he wouldn't have believed Orochi's lie, and instead team up with Hyogoro and everyone else to fight back against Kaido and Orochi. Sure there may have been some deaths here and there because of the fighting but if they won and defeated both Kaido and Orochi so many more lives would have been saved and Wano wouldn't have become what it is now, also no one thinks Orochi is a good character we know that Orochi is a evil horrible person however some of us do think he is a good villain which is why some of us like him.

since the start he never wants to take over the throne by force and the main point is oden doesnt intent to bother his people. it was his nature. even since he was in kuri take down ashura's force alone or when he was on wb or roger ship. he loves doing thing first and never ask for anyone help when fighting. oden is extraordinary figure. even before the brink of his death he still think of his men life and try to do something to make it right.


if he was really try to take down kaido and orochi by force. he will choose wb or roger crew to raid the country. thry are more formidable and experience than hyogoro or any samurai force. heck even roger, rayleigh and other already offer to help him open the border. but he choose to do by his own way.

Trying to do everything by himself is a flaw here, a big one at that. Given fate of thousands depended on Oden decision.

Unless he was confident enough to take out Kaidou for sure, he should have seek help and if he was confident, there was no room for deal with some scum n pirate.

Oden is good at heart, bt that's about it. He didn't deserve to be Shogun of Wano.

If Oden would engage a war against Orochi and Kaido, they could win? Yes but at what cost? Lots of innocent people dying.

So what Oden did? He danced for 5 years to save people. He was keeping an eye on Orochi to keep his promise. Those 5 years, no one fucking died.

But that shit ain't going to last. When Orochi killed Hyo's wife and followers, then Oden made his move.

Oden had another big headache. He needed to open the borders of Wano before Joy Boy returned. So, he couldn't do anything that would jeopardize his ambitions.

He needed the beast pirates gone and he naively believed in the promises by Orochi. As far Wano's people were concerned, most didn't know about pirates being in control (at least that's how I understand it). So, starting a big war would've exposed the bad side of the outside world to Wano's people and Oden's ambitions would be in shambles.

Oden wasn't the most responsible person for Wano, but he was also unlucky, a concept that keeps repeating for the Old Gen.

wano suffers for the latest 25 years is not his fault.he was trying but failed. everyone has a limit. in fact he was national hero. unlike ryuma.

selfish is what man a leader. both luffy and roger are selfish. without it.they are just follower. the man had made his choice and the choice is to save other by sacrifice his life and his pride. he make ton mistake but that what human does right.

there is no guarantee that with hyogoro and other help he will succed but the thing that exact is there would be more casualties. but he already try to solve things by his own way. that is samurai way. they got pride. but oden never lose his faith till the end.

He was strong enough to challenge kaido 1v1. He had an army that could have easily pushed back against the beast pirates. He was allies with whitebeard and the Roger pirates.

Kaido was even attacked by Gecko Moria, someone he could have forged an alliance with.

he could have killed kaido at any point during those 5 years and he simply chose not to.

MHA compared to One piece imo:

• better artwork(by far)
• better anime
• better characters = as opposed to OP, Horikoshi doesn't recycle characters and tropes. His characters actually seem like real people and not caricatures.
• better plot = nothing is drawn out, there are no fake teases, plot is usually consistent and rarely relies on contrivances. Arcs are also more concise and don't suffer from fatigue, as opposed to one piece which has a story that tbh feels bloated at times.

the only thing I'd say one piece is better at is:

• fights= horikoshi loves to spam flashbacks during fights which kinda takes away from the fight. This is as opposed to Oda, who often will give entire chapters dedicated solely to action in a main fight. Albeit, even still. Deku vs muscular, all might vs AFO, and endeavor vs the high end noumu are superb fights
• better world building

but overall, I think mha is far more enjoyable

Oden didn't have a DF and he easily broke the chains around his arms with bare strength. Out of his scabbards, only 2 of them were DF users. He had no reason to get into that pot, he could have just attacked Kaido there. Why did he get into the pot when he could have literally just chosen not to?
