This was pretty much all of Ultra vs Beky and what I don't really like about Beky in this interaction is how he turned the argument into all about Ultra flustered, ignoring Ultra's points. Ultra questions him for being sneaky and bullshitting with his read. Beky's counter to this is that he's a nobody and not a threat for Ultra to get bothered. This doesn't even make sense when A. Ultra isn't defending himself in this interaction but questioning Beky and very clearly taking the offensive in this back and forth. B. Why does a player's threat level even matter? If a post looks bad, then it looks bad regardless of how threatening the player who made it is and it deserves to be questioned which is what Ultra was doing. Beky straw-manning Ultra's posts and completely ignoring his actual points made is yikes yikes yikes.


This post in particular came after I asked both of them their reads on each other. After all that about Ultra getting too triggered and his reaction being unwarranted, all that comes out of it is at worst weak around the edges? That's so weak and makes that entire argument a total waste. Beky's part of the argument feels fake to me cause of that. Even going all the way back to his initial read on how Ultra approached my claim. When reading this argument, it just sounds like Beky was trying to disengage from this argument. And that looks bad to me as a townie should be willing to engage in a little duel with someone who pinged them. Ultra was calling him out on his bs and he straw-manned to avoid countering Ultra's actual points since, from what I can see, he can't.

Also before lynching someone in the council you guys should talk about the odds of hitting scum there.
We can assume that each mafia team will maybe try to get one of their men atleast into the council. With success. With 2 mafia teams a la 6~ members each we can assume a guarantee of 16% of scum being in the council without knowing the exact numbers. We could certainly have 2/10 mafia in the council ATLEAST, but if we wanna play safe, there is a hit guarantee of 16~%.

With aproximate 10 mafia on 43 players non guarantee we have a hitrate of almost 25% with less guarantee on hitting mafia outside the council. And then add the handful of indies we have but they are not considered mafia and this calculation only hits if we have 6 mafia per team.

You guys are still better off lynching outside of the council because hitting mafia might be easier that way unless you guys believe that mafia is 8headed and takes almost half the council seats.

Man, I went and reread that back and forth for like the 5th time. Blue's reaction could have been better, I agree. But I don't know if that's a scum reaction or a flustered townie. Doesn't help that I suck at reading reactions, too.

doesnt look like lind was helping adam against blue at all. he agreed that blue could of reacted better, but never opportunistically joined the wagon on blue
instead he was unsure about whether blue came off as flustered town or scum, which seemed like a genuine reaction.

I believe there was a person who said before a post I read that Usopp just said I don't want to vote for someone on council, I forgot who made it.

Then there was a post by Usopp that bugged me, along with the council post there. Saying him being on council didn't bother him or how he got there but his play did.

@Naomi I am more concerned actually when a person seems to have read the entire thread but has had virtually no presence in it, because that means they could have someone filling them in.

rej's post fits perfectly with this too, assuming mafia only sends 1~2 members max to council, the chances of hitting scum in council is lower than scum outside of council

which is why TAC's shot was pretty meh. shud of been used on adam in a hindsight

and speaking from past game experience, its a miserable thing to be mafia in council because as much as u wanna do mislynches, its harder to mask ur intentions when the number of players r few, in comparison to the dayphase where town is all over the place until they have something solid

a scum in council is forced to follow town anyway or simply gets lynched, and the more mafia keeps killing people in council to stop these extra lynches, the narrower council PoE gets and the easier it gets to lynch the scum there
