So there's a double standards is there? Luffy goes 1 on 1 for 30 minutes with Kaido gets sent packing and then comes back and is actually getting the better of him solo.

Law and Kid get knocked out and come back to beat BM together and you guys still think Kid is near Luffy

The format is

Vs chapter (ending in cliffhanger) then the very next chapter confirms and ends it. This is a clear deviation.

Luffy is 1v1 Kaido who was injured by a lot of other fighters

I thought Oda was exaggerating when he said "within a year" because even post-Wano Luffy with his MC perks will need several years of serialization.
But after seeing Mama durability topping out at metal bull, it makes complete sense.

You know what, if Law/Kidd could use their awakening, get exhausted, could rest like Luffy, and come back again to fight, I would say Luffy and Law/Kidd are equal.
