I'm glad Viz removed that, people overblow statements like that way too much. It was clearly hurting Big Mom but not even close to as much as it was expected to, especially after Law destroyed her on the inside. She was having a whole ass casual conversation while the attack was going on and it failed to blast her through initially, heck she said she would deflect it in this translation.
