Questions & Mysteries Has anyone read a worse arc than Wano week to week in all of manga/manhwa etc?

For me it was Fishman island and Dressrosa..

FI arc should have max 10 pages , there was absolutely no need of introducing weakass antagonists..They surved no purpose and only dragged plot length .

not saying Wano, but Onigashima specifically has become my worst week-to-week experience reading One Piece. With each passing Chapter the odds of this arc ending in an anticlimactic, unsatisfying way increase. There are loads of unnecessary plotpoints. So many wins for the alliance, and it's all been super easy, peasy. There has been no relevant consequences, no tension and no stakes. There have been no plotlines for the straw hats, we've not received a real Kaido plot yet either. We heard about his plan and he's at like... step 1 to bringing it closer to fullfillment, but that's barely anything. Like in comparison to Crocodile who actually progressed with his plan, actually started the civil war, planted the bombs on the tower and was extremely close to reaching his goal before luffy beat his ass. None of this tension of we need to defeat the villain before he goes through with his villanous plans is present here. We didn't even get proper 1v1s for all SHs and the ones we got were all, with the exception of Black Maria vs Robin, very unfulfilling and disappointing.

If you build up a story arc for 10 years you need to deliver on it. Even if my hopes continue to decrease... i'm still hoping Oda knows how to write a story and that the tide will for once turn in the Villains favour. We're going up against the biggest threat we've ever faced and it's been a cakewalk
Extremely well said, much respect!

I recall when people were complaining about the final arc of AoT for the amount of bs about Levi.

I guess many famous series got their no moments.

Ayy my man, great post. Encapsulates how most people feel. At some point you gotta question is if even worth reading anymore

Tokyo Revengers has been painful for the longest time. The last and current arcs are both infuriating in a number of ways.
It went to shit a while ago unfortunately. As soon as the story continued when the MC went back to the present I knew it was fucked

Kengan Omega’s tournament arc was fucking terrible. I hated most of it and the ending was atrocious

I can’t think of a single One Piece arc that makes me feel the way Wano does. Hype moment, shit, hype moment, shit, hype moment, shit, hype moment, shit on repeat the whole arc

At least for other arcs it’s consistently terrible or at least decent so I can properly set my expectations. Wano has a great chapter and then some of the worst writing in the series follows it

I really wish Oda learn from HxH or JJK, not to put 90% panels time focusing on MC, which makes it become boring.

HxH has Dark Continent arc without Gon and Killua.
JJK has focus on other character like Yuta, Maki, etc. without Itadori.

This makes keep the story exciting and make it fresh, while expanding the world building.

Unfortunately, Luffy is everywhere in One Piece.
Also, turns out the mini arc without Luffy, Reverie, is the best post time-skip OP.

The Wano hate mostly was born by the amount of bs Oda inserted in it but in all honesty WCI looked even worse cause not only a lot of bs was added, that arc was much less deep and exciting than Wano overall in many ways :josad:
