Buuhan >>> Super Buu > Kid Buu.
It was said that SSJ3 is capable of beating Kid Buu. While Goku admitted that he is inferior to Super Buu.
Lol, how can Gohan, who is > SSJ3, make Kid Buu weaker? Especially when prior to that powering himself up with a cookie made from fat Buu and gaining Piccolo's intelligence.
Super Buu's Chi rising upon turning into Kid Buu was due to him trying to fight it.

Kid Buu is at the right level to be a threat for SSJ3 Goku because Toriyama made him significantly weaker than SSJ3 Gotenks and Gohan. I've seen it argued Goku was worried he'd still be a small fry after leaving Super Buu's body rather than his power level, but I'd want Toriyama's further input. For now, I'm going with,
SSJ Vegetto > Buuhan > Buutenks > Mystic Gohan > Buuccolo > Super Buu >/= SSJ3 Gotenks > SSJ Gotenks > SSJ3 Goku >/= Kid Buu > Fat Buu (Skinny Buu > Fat Buu [minus Skinny Buu])

Canon is a standard created by the community, it has no objective barring. I could just say anime versions are used here too as dont really like the manga anyway due to the association with you people who constantly stan for it blindly
