Wrong, Chopper literally declared his name right in front of Luffy and he still called him reindeer. Even Sanji knew his name by that point.

-In the case of the other, Luffy is using a personally created nickname, because he cannot give a flying fuck to remember what she's actually called.

Except this is wrong, he gives them a nickname for ease of use. He calls Law Torao but he literally has called him Law before.

I still don't know why its suddenly a debate about her dream lol. Oda spelled it out as clear as day in one panel. If that wasn't enough, he made a clear parallel of this same scene with Momo and Luffy.

Luffy had to inspire Momo to stand up and say his true feelings. Momo declared to Kaido he would be shogun and bit him to show his resolve.

Ace had to inspire Yamato to open up her heart and say what she wants. She declared she wanted to go out to sea (and later said to Kaido himself with Luffy) and knocked out the statue (later fought him) to show her resolve.

How is Luffy right but Ace wrong?
