If one really wants to prove that Kaido jumping from a Sky Island is unimpressive without any shadow of a doubt then all one needs to do is point out that we have actually already seen a character achieve this feat, in a cover story no less, with barely a scratch to show for it. Just a little swelling.

Unpopular opinion: Zoro being number 2 doesn't put him in a lower weight class. It's part of an assumption about the story that isn't necessarily based on what we see.
Historically: Luffy and Zoro tied at Whiskey Peak. Zoro not being a DF user could stop Smoker's jitte the same way that Luffy's DF meant that he wasn't beaten easily by Enel. Luffy and Zoro were both beaten easily by Aokiji and Lucci. While Gears were a massive upgrade, Zoro stepped up himself. Kaku was less than Lucci but Zoro managed to finish the battle on his two feet and went on to keep fighting after. Zoro withstood all of Luffy's pain and fatigue in TB on top of his own, even if it meant being diminished for some days after. Zoro's strike to Kuma was legit though, even if it wouldn't have won the fight. Post TS, we haven't seen the extent of what Zoro learned. He didn't look good in his brief skirmish with Fujitora, but he looked the same as Luffy.
So now Luffy has beaten a YC and will go on to fight Kaido... maybe. He won't solo Kaido. We'll see but I'm pretty sure Zoro won't get raped by a YC the way Luffy did. As main character Luffy will take the lead, but the gap isn't what people seem to think.

I can see Luffy and Zoro tag teaming him.
Luffy isn't strong enough to destroy a yonko by hinself but at the same time he can still unleash his awakening and with the help of at least one person he should be able to pull the job off.
Given the numerous hints about Zoro avenging Oden it would make sense if they worked together and maybe Zoro landed the final blow.

There is a massive Gap and Oda made that clear when Zoro needed help with Pica, and when he lost to Gyukimaru + nerfed killer.

Sometime after sending Momo and company to the future, her DF powers caused her to revert to eternal childhood as a result of expending so much energy sending others through time. She separated from Hiyori (still working that part out) and revealed her true identity to Yasuie, asking him to pose as her father to avoid raising suspicion amongst Orochi’s forces. Knowing this, he eventually sent her to Komurasaki (who he recognized as Hiyori) for safekeeping, leading us to where we are today!! This is EXACTLY what’s going to happen, not reading any replies to this!!
