I literally explained it. Luffy now has gag powers. The same way Nami coukd damage him without haki, luffy is doing it to kaido

also, we literally saw Luffy pull out AdvCoC that can damage Kaido better than Ryuo can so we already know Oda is very capable of giving luffy a power up that invalidates his previous power up

but dont worry, when Kaido awakens, i’m sure Luffy will start using haki again for the final round

There is a panel where luffy is seen without haki on his arms so if all the hits were without haki and caused damage to Kaido that means that nika is beyond even the haki

Oh, of course there's that too. Including destiny definitely changes how the journey will be viewed but I was looking solely at this reveal of his true fruit and what it changes and I kind of feel like Oda atleast had some previous chapters showing destiny so he fumbled (for those against it) that a while ago. Still disappointing that it doesn't come off as Luffy struggling towards his goal, unsure if he'll really make it but more of him doing what he was fated to do (still puts in work but there's no lack of assurance that he'll complete his goal). Like how Blackbeard was told to his face by Whitebeard he's not the one Roger's waiting for or the prophecy regarding which year the person succeeding Roger will be born. Kinda makes it less enticing but in regards to solely the true name of Luffy's fruit, I think there are still good aspects to it.

"Destiny" as a concept does not really exist. Nor does it contradict a character "struggling to reach his dream".
Just think, why was it even Luffy's dream to become the pirate king?
Well, what's a fact is that the one piece world needs someone who finds the one piece and challenges the world government. This can only be done by the "pirate king"(a title the world government made up)

Luffy is the next Joyboy because he will be the same to the world, play the same role, do tue same for the people as the historical Joyboy.

"Nika" is just a name for now, and we don't know who invented this name. It might have been the world government or even the ancient kingdom.

Luffy will keep calling his attacks "gomu gomu no...." and won't call himself Joyboy either.
He is Luffy and people only call him the next Joyboy like they call Zoro the next Ryuma.
Of course Zoro is not Ryuma. He doesnmt have Ryuma's sword currently yet people call him the second Ryuma.
His role as such is neither a direct result of his bloodline nor is Ryuma's sword imposing its will on Zoro or anything like that.

And all the same, the devil fruit is not all that's necessary to make Luffy Joyboy.



And: Roger was only waiting for someone because he got that info on Laugh tale.
There might not even be a "prophecy" in the traditional sense.
Joyboy probably had voat and possibly future sight. He might have just been capable of looking that far in the future where he saw someone being born 800 years later to fulfill what he couldn't do.

This DF has evaded the government for 800 years. That means it must have done it EVEN IN DF FORM when no one had eaten it… How the fuck did it do that?

What if it somehow still has its reality warping powers EVEN IN DF FORM… Shanks somehow managed to steal the exact DF needed to be brought to Luffy… What if this was all the mind of the DF doing some kinda reality warping shit to make this happen

Curupira lives in the forest of Brazil and uses its backward feet to create footprints that lead to its starting point, thus making hunters and travelers confused. Besides that, it can also create illusions and produce a sound that is like a high pitched whistle, in order to scare and drive its victim to madness.

May be that’s just what nika does in DF form, confused hunters who tries to chase him and create illusion/sound which shanks could hear it and decided to steal it because he heard the voice of the DF.

All Haki has 3 levels.
Observation Haki
level 1-Presence sensing or aura detection]
Level 2- Sensing what opponent will do( we saw this in the katakuri fight shortly before Pudding shot Luffy)
level 3- Extreme far presence sensinng, or Future Sight, or Far hearing

Armament Haki -
level 1- Basic Invinsible Armamer and Koka hardening
level 2- Barrier/ Emission/ sheild haki
level 3- Internal Destruction Haki

Conqueros Haki
Level 1 -Knockign out and taming living creatues
level2 - Coating it and emitting it like Barrier Haki
level 3-???? (Shanks and Roger are here). This is what Roger and SHanks use to fight Yonko. It is only available to COC Specialists. Luffy will get this to fight Blackbeard.

Its toon force yes… The same way Nami can damage Luffy with her punches in gag scenes… Now Luffy can use gag powers to damage kaido without needing haki
