I'm talking about double the pain. Oda didn't have to do that. He could have gave him medicine that drains Zoro's energy twice as fast. If all Oda wants to do is stop Zoro from fighting for the rest of Wano there are easy ways to achieve that requires time.

Nah, Oda simply thought that giving the Medicine a side effect of double pain would have been enough to convince the fanbase that Zoro is out and possibly/partially out for the next arc.

I do enjoy the implication of this chapter because:

1. Kaido seems happy Luffy is alive, as in not upset at all by this new powerup

2. Luffy having a mythical zoan awakening with the name of a "God" implies Kaido can do the same. A Seiryu is another God so to speak, so he should be able to awaken his power as well.


I think this is going to be a really cool fight once we really get into it, hopefully next chapter

That being said, what would Kaidos awakening be?

If Luffys gives his body more freedom, would Kaido just give his body more ferocity? At least it’s confirmed it’d be a different form

I can tell you that Zoro one-shots the same villains that Luffy struggles with.
I can tell you that Zoro can face Hakai while weakling cant.
I can tell you that Zoro holds his own against Admiral while Luffy gets trashed.
I can tell you that Zoro claps Kaido's RHM in 10 mins while Luffy needs 11 hours for Big Mom's Cracker and Katakuri.
I can tell you that Zoro carries Luffy on rooftop and outperforms Luffy hundred times over.

I think oda does this because zoro has no DF ,no exoskeleton like sanji,or other stamina supporting stuff .
To show that zoro is on a leauge on his own to overcome those neardeath experiences .

if every Zoan awakening follows Luffy’s, it is likely that the only way to use its full form is by awakening. Kaido was probably a fish before his Df decided to awaken

Considering it seems awakening seems to change the personality of the user slightly (Luffy is now just having a ton of fun), my guess is it'll give Kaido a ferocious dragon one. Something more dragon like with flame clouds around him.

Idk we'll see. I'm confident he at least has something up his sleeve.
