General & Others Ace’s Novel : Part 2

Lmao Mihawk couldn’t handle an upstart Shanks, and Shanks became famous for it and then left Mihawk behind.

Also, the Shanks/Makino shoutout. Gotta love it.

Can’t wait for these to come out in English so I can grab them.
Lol this is honestly sad to watch. Shanks is a swordsman oda made another character the Wss despite shanks being a yonko. Why do you guys try to argue against oda for its kinda weird

Thanks and do not hesitate to correct any mistake I might have done :giggle:

Concerning the Mihawk/Shanks part, I have two instances where it is named :

Page 50 you have those sentences : « Shanks Le Roux était l’une des figures emblématiques de l’âge d’or de la piraterie. Ses nombreux duels contre Mihawk « œil de faucon » avaient défrayé la chronique, et malgré le fait qu’il lui manquait un bras, il avait réussi à rejoindre le groupes des 4 empereurs » .

Which can be translate by « Red Haid was one of the key figure of the golden age era of piracy. His several duels with Mihawk « hawk eyes » had made the headlines, and despite the fact that he lost an arm, he joined the 4 emperors ».:amazing:

Page 67: « Shanks était surtout connu pour ses nombreux duels contre Mihawk, le meilleur sabreur du monde. »

Which can be translate by : « Shanks was mostly known for his several duels with Mihawk, the world’s strongest swordsman »

Did those part do not exist or are mistranslated?
Nombreux! That's interesting! Looks like the French translation took it to mean there were multiple duels. I wonder how the English version will read!

I still suggest reading the engligh translated ones once they’re out. So you can see for yourself and interpret them however you want.

It’s hard to have a proper discussion with descriptions and interpretations a reader made as things to back up your argument.
(At the end of the day it seems that the best way is to read the original ver....to avoid translation problems altogethercatded )

Yes the viz should be considered the factual translation.
Though the french translation is just as valid to be honest.

Yes, after seeing his direct translation of some lines, it seems that the French ver is not as bad as I imagined when making the notes. So the errors came from misunderstandings and interpretations, though of course, I might’ve made some mistakes as well....

Mihawk has the edge what are you talking about . He has the title and black blade . Shanks is a swordsman with no title or black
Blade
Has Mihawk evet beaten shank 1-1? why do u think oda left this question up in the air till now? its not rocket science....

having a black blade isnt an edge. People way stronger then Mihawk dont have black blades...
no one has ever been given the edge to their title
in the series.
