They have an awakening, but I feel like awakening for Zoan is hardest because that’s when the personality of the Zoan overpowers that of the user causing them to go feral.

theory: based on the last chapter and the leaks in this one, it seems Luffy's awakening is affecting the environment

first the sky, then Kaido and in this one, it is even affecting law, kid, nami etc..

it could be a gag but I think it is a result of the awakening so maybe laugh tale is actually something created with joy boy powers which is why even Roger and the others were laughing there
