Silver lining in this too is that even though kaido is "losing" this chapter, Oda still hasn't dished out a Vs title yet lol. It's a good sign for what's to come, especially if 1046 isn't it either

all i said is that it's impressive that zoro was able to permanently scar kaido while having 30 broken bones , i didn't say zoro did more damage to kaido than luffy did or the reason luffy is able to fight kaido is because zoro scarred him

The drawback we saw this chapter will probably come at a point again when Kaido is fighting back. Then I can totally see the Straw Hats or the Momotaro group stalling Kaido until Luffy lands his final hit

I hope not tbh, I don't mind some more fighting chapters with Kaido showing awakening and all, but this round should be the last one.
I wouldn't be able to support another interruption, it kills the momentum everytime.

All my complaints about him being not getting consequences from the hits he has been getting for the past 50 chapters were erased.

@Paperchampion23 do you still see him awakening? Right now I believe this is highly possible because of Kaido's state this chapter.

I can see it, but he needs to do it soon. I guess it's a last resort if it exists (and maybe there's a good reason for it idk). Oda hasn't dished out a proper vs title yet so that's interesting

One reason Kaido could not get a big flashback is because Oda wants to keep Xebec hidden and reveal him for another arc.
I still think Kaido is getting a small flashback, but I wouldn't bet on a several chapters long one.

Same, I'm expecting it to be ~1 chapter at most to keep the flow of the fight going.

we didnt hear about oden's scar after like 20 years and kaido after getting scarred by oden still got up and hit him , kaido is a zoan he heals .

You didnt see his scar? That scar is a permanent tatoo for Kaido like Akainu's fist is for Luffy. It healed with SCAR and you must have questioned at least once who gave him the scar before you found it was Oden.

My assumption (really hope) is that the fight lasts 3-4 more chapters but with purpose:

- 1046: Kaido has a decent flashback about Rocks (teasing the bigger flashback for some future moment idk) and why he can't awaken until the last moment.

- 1047: Kaido Awakening showcase. Luffy and him fighting on a more equal footing.

- 1048: Kaido gains the upper hand. Luffy keeps siphoning energy from his lifespan with that heartbeat.

- 1049: Named Vs chapter. Luffy delivers the final blow by the end.


Something like this im fine with. If it lasts a bit longer due to other plotlines not being finished, that's fine too, but hopefully Kaido has something up his sleeve

well that depends on the viewers but in narrative zoro's scar hasnt been downplayed even once .

i think fans underestimate how much oda caters to luffy in contrast to other characters yes even zoro.
many celebrated his loss thinking it proved their assertions on zoro's involvement right

I know a lot of zoro fans on this site are trolling, but it kinda irritates me how they chastise people who are "Luffy fans".

Like, Luffy is the MC, by design he is supposed to be the character we should root for the most.
