I pray to God there is at least 1 fight with decent climax. So I'm down for Kaido to have awakening dragon awakening plus full unsealed oni nature. However there is some likelihood he won't show the dragon form and get the fruit stolen. We'll see. We haven't heard anything about Blackbeard so perhaps all these theories are mental wank and nothing else.

God forbid some people want tension against the Final Villains of a multi-arc saga. As contrived as the birdcage was, Luffy's fight with Doflamingo fit the tone of the situation from start to finish

Exactly. Gear 5 is infinitely more akin to Luffys normal fighting style than Boundman or Snakeman ever were. It’s random it’s goofy, it gives Luffy the ability to fight with whatever pops into his mind and that’s how Luffy fights best.
