I think the idea that Momo joining is pretty solid.

He has grown a lot, but he has shown a desire to know what his father saw on his journey in Raftel. And I think with Hiyori taking down Orochi her rise to Shogunate is quite possible.

However, I think Momos going to make one declaration before he steps down, that Yamato and the Kurozumi families are pardoned for the sins of Kaido and Orochi. As this generational guilt is what created Orochi in the first place

I don't remember, when has Momo shown interest in what his father saw on his journey?.. He did read Oden's journal..

When he was talking to Yamato in chapter 1041:

“I learned why I cannot die from fathers journal. But it seems he tore out the most crucial pages!! What made father and Roger laugh at the final island? The true importance of this task still eludes me.”

Then he goes on to say he is still a coward showing he has room for character growth and a reason to journey with Luffy.

While I agree, there is the hanging thread that Momo isn't able to read Poneglyphs. He would have the opportunity to learn to read Poneglyphs from Robin so he can continue the Kozuki tradition (which is pretty much the only thing right now that would justify him leaving Wano).

He promised Momonosuke he would beat Kaido

He promised Tama to pretty much beat Kaido so she would have food

He Promised Kinemon to carry Wano wishes and such before Kin and the rest left the rooftop.

Pedro sacrificed himself to get Luffy out of WCI to get here.

Its not anymore deep then that.

While I won't deny the possibility of Tenguyama being Sukiyaki, it does feel very off if he's been alive all this time because the entire reason that Orochi took power was that Sukiyaki died while Oden was away. If it turns out that Sukiyaki was alive the entire time and just let Orochi ruin Wano while he was making swords out in the wilderness, he comes off as pretty sociopathic.

I personally don't think momo joining strawhats at all. Ever since dressrosa he has always said he wants to be shogun of wano. Throughout this entire arc it has always been built up for him take over his father’s country. It would not make any sense for him flat out just leave go on journey with strawhats. The wano citizen have suffer for countless years, sacrifice so many lives to get to this point in time waiting for the day kozuki to return. Momo is the proper air the thrown if he flat out leaves and bails on people who fought for him to be leader it would be mockery of oden earlier failure. Raizou has already said that him and remaining scabbards would help guide Momo making him the leader that wano needs right now. Momo is just like Coby and vivi of the new world. A character who doesn’t have a lot of backbone it luffy encourages them to better productive people for goals there trying to achieve. He will take in the lesson that got from strawhats from short journey with them to better leader for his people. He plenty advisor and sister to help lead his country

I mean Orochi had Kaidos backing not much he could do but wait till the chance and when Oden failed and learned about Tokos last words.

Momo says he’s not ready to be shogun. And that he needs to know what makes him so important.

Momos the only SH option we’ve got who has stated a legitimate tangible dream and has a strong connection with everyone

Momo will be a shogun. He has to know the state of wano first, repair it, and inspire people

In term of opening wano, he is lacking some information to make decision. So it's obviously someone need to leave to get the information

In the logbook, oden said wano was connected with the world. That's kinda obvious too because the poneglyph that kozuki made is placed outside wano

Momo, as someone who will also lead the world, needs to know which country is allies to wano in the past. Country that is entrusted with kozuki's poneglyph. A country that made promise with kozuki family at the time of the placement of the stone. Kozuki family always kept its promise

Imo there's should be someone who should connect wano with those kingdom. My guess is hiyori. It's good to have a kozuki outside wano so they could know the state of the outside world

She could be a better counselor for momo if she knows things outside wano
