Maybe zoan awakenings (not super special like luffy) makes the user go out of control. So that could be why kaido hasn't used it.

kaidos is technically a god based on Japanese lore, luffy is the god of the sun they both mimic the powers of each god based on their lore. so kaidos fruit is special enough but luffys is just more special in its own way. He gonna awaken, if not a silhouette next chapter def in 1048 be stupid for doffy to have it and kaido to mention it and just no one ever sees him declare this is his awakening

Who said he has to be a challenge to those people? He can easily be a threat to the people of Wano. We still haven't gotten a ticking timebomb scenario that actually threatens the Wano citizens. And Onigashima doesn't count. Kaido is loosening his hold on it. It's not even over the Flower Capital, and all of the explosives are gone.

This is not at all awakening...if it is then why hide it as awakening...I mean it's a soul power...it has to work on souls...take giolla or whatever her name was...her powers work on others too and she makes them into paintings...or take khalifa who can modify both her enemy and herself...that is pretty much basic power.

We saw with katakuri that he could use awakening almost casually, using it for hours. Linlin might have even better mastery than that. It could be at the highest levels of DF mastery, using awakening isn't a big deal like it is for Kid/Law/Luffy.

Soul Pocus being awakening honestly makes sense. Caramel never used this ability. Not all awakened abilities need to be super overpowered. R-Room is more of a tactical ability. Soul pocus is the same, albeit I do think Linlin's awakening would be much stronger if used in totland, where she has an army of homies she could just absorb like shadows asgard.

2 interesting things:

- Oda not giving G5 real attack names yet because Luffy doesn't know what to call them himself yet lmao

- Kaido asking who Luffy is, which points to him realizing he's Joyboy very soon (probably leading to his flashback around the time he loses)
