How about this, haki and or dfs aren’t the end all be all

it’s a balance, one can become really strong without mastering haki or having an OP fruit

Sometimes I think what would have it happened if Garp ate Sugar's or Kuma's devil fruit

Oda really trying to make up for stupendously retconning Luffy’s fruit by having Kaido praise Roger and taking the focus away from the fact that Luffy was handed one of the most powerful fruits in the verse lol. Just makes Soyboy Nikka Luffy look worse.

Seems like this is the best opportunity to get Zoro involved as a non-DF user and get the final attack on Kaido over the capital

That statement is more akin to even without DF, Luffy can become PK because he is a conqueror. Having DF won't make it worse. It is just a fighting tool just like swords. Btw it is nika not nikka and joyboy not soyboy.
