I don't give a shit about this reveal, tbh, if you can even call that one since it was the most obvious.

Oda chose the least liked and important of the scabbards, the one that's the most forgettable, does anyone actually feel something after this?

Oda is clever. He drops hints so that it works for the story and readers who hit the target feel great. Readers who don't are probably impressed by the long game. But most importantly it hits the actual characters super hard. The horror and outrage from others are what sell it regardless of how you care about Kanjuro... or the Kanjuro you thought you knew.

Kanjuro is perfect traitor because he'll make a perfect opponent for Kinemon in this arc... without the need for redemption.

The traitor plot would have ONLY been so bad if it was female. Because we all know.. we all can sense Oda having soft side and not pulling the trigger... just like with Pudding... Oda would find a way to make her regret her actions.. aaaaand we have no fucking impact whatsoever...

Kinemon needed a great opponent since he's the scabbard that is closest to our crew.
