There’s nothing wrong about Zoro fans wanting their favourite character to have a big role. Everyone does it. Even if the theory doesn’t come true, the building blocks of it were used to predict that Zoro would get CoC and fight Kaido on the roof. Was plenty of people saying that would never happen.

No, not at all.
Even though i wasn't fan of ZKK theory, as an observer i can easily say that it was the "others" who became more toxic.
At the beginning (before the war lol) it was just a theory from people who gather clues and hints from Oda's work and no bs like: sanji is too weak and zoro will save him from kaido's final attack by cutting kaido's head off whatever..

The people that constantly push the ZKK theory and slam those that disagree seems to be the most toxic. I've read the theories and I still don't understand why people still believe it will happen. Even now, Zoro is on deaths door after fighting King while Luffy has awaken his DF fighting Kaido. Luffy has repeatedly said Kaido is his opponent to take down.

If Zoro was fighting Kaido alongside Luffy right now, then there would be some merit to the theory. This theory is one of many reasons why I want this arc to be over with.
