Kaido didn’t beat Luffy. He even says this himself regardless of text box.

When has a villain ever woken up in the same battle after Luffy has beaten them in any arc

Law can try and hit people with it but he will never succeed against capable fights. He barely did it in team battle vs incompetent character.
Meanwhile, Zoro catches everyone and the only reason why heads arent flying around is because Oda doesn't wish it so when it serves no purpose especially on characters that he plans to re-use and bring back at some point...

"Luffy still fighting Kaido" is a point for what?

You can believe that Luffy will end Kaido but Kaido cannot end with his head attached.
It means a monster samurai, which Kaido himself wishes for, is necessary to do what Luffy is unable to do.
I am not telling you to support ZKK but if you think it isnt built up as the only solution to Kaido, you are very, very wrong.

Dude, losses in a fight where the fighter ends up still fighting by the end of it is frankly semantics. It does not matter. Luffy only has "lost" twice objectively by the plot because those fights end. He came back because Kaido is HIS fight. He could lose 10 more times and it's still his fight.

Zoro came back once because King was HIS fight. Kaido is not Zoro's fight. So him returning a 2nd time for reasons outside of the current plot (i.e. ZKK) is not as "obvious" like you are trying to argue.

But again, for the 3rd time, believe what you want

He's struggled through out his fight to take Kaido out and he has yet to finish him off. You really think if Luffy were to knock him out for a few seconds, he gets up again and killed by Zoro that they would be satisfied?
That would be Zoro's victory not Luffy's.

There's no scenario that would make sense for Zoro to be the one that kills Kaido especially given his current condition.

Luffy's awakening made that possible because his heart was made of rubber. What's Enma going to do to all the damage done to Zoro's body? You think replenishing his Haki is going to suddenly bring him back to life?

Kaido's legend is that he lost 8 times in his life, Oda is going after Luffy losing 8 times to Kaido alone.
Luffy came back because he is one of many stalling devices for Kaido until Zoro comes back to do what's necessary.

He can lose 100 times and return, doesnt change the fact that it isnt his place to end Kaido. That's Zoro's job.
Kaido is Zoro's prey, a device that makes Zoro's name reach the heaven. Thanks to Kaido, Zoro's name will shake the world.
It's not obvious that all samurai failed to slay a dragon and that Zoro will do it?

- 1026-1042
- 1044-present.
