well you really never know i mean i think he was using his awakening the whole time but since it is a zoan awakening it is all about toughness and recovery just like the guys of Impel Down.

Dudes, Kaido not having awakening can be "fixed" by Oda. . . simple as this: "Kaido never had being at the verge of death while fighting, so never was able to unlock his own awakening".

Well, this said, Oda could still pull out Kaido unlocking it because it seems Luffy give him the fight of his life, so he is at his very last limit and it could still happens, awakening.

It depends if Oda wants to end Kaido here or if he will continue diving into his past/powers/motivations.

A continuation for his flashback could give him even extra motivation, plus see Lin Lin like this now. . .

Just be honest, we've thought the same with Who's Who, Sasaki, Black Maria, Jack... King and see how it turned out to be? If Kaido shows awakening, that's great. But I'm already moving on with Kaido's defeat.

I don't think Shanks was talking about Blackbeard tbh. He spoke to them before the bad shit at the reverie happened, so it shouldnt be about BB or God Valley. I think that's an entirely separate issue.

Plus, Sengoku mentions God Valley is missing even after this big event at the Reverie, indicating its not about it or its location
