Still a good episode compare to KKG on Kaido though. :milaugh:However Toei is being Toei nothing surprise me anymore.. lmaooo

Wonder how WB vs Roger fight will be...knowing Toei, it probably required 2 episodes.
Any more addition of that "Roger vs WB" / Rayleigh / Oden shall be welcomed with open arms by my side
I HATED IT IN MANGA
Cause Oda as usual... he's only showing the initial clash that splits the sky... and then offscreen the rest

He did that with Shanks/WB
He did that with BM/Kaido
He did that with Roger/WB

He in fact didn't show a single thing of BB/Marco or Aokiji/Akainu

At least Anime and Toei do care about their own fans and their expectations (notice I'm talking about ANIME FANS/ Not Manga fans who will complain regardless)

Manga fans to anime... if they stick to manga panel to panel.. they will complain that they should extend the fight a bit and make it interesting. And if they extend the fight... they will complain that it was filler and they shouldn't add those scenes... so the complaints from manga fans are incoming regardless... so anime and stuido basically only care about the "Anime ONLY fans".. and extend for their enjoyment of the fight...
And I appreciated this episode once again

Regardless the episode was cool.

Who else honestly enjoyed Sanji's ninja vibes?

Reminded me of Kakashi for a while
LOL. that moment was so funny the way he was pointing his arms and saying "I'm O-soba mask" LMAO

Also... I'm not a fan of Law.... but he was awesome in this episode with his overexaggerated facial expression "Stealthsssuu Blackuuu" LOL

By the way.... I'm happy that the anime studio during the "Sanji invisiblity" They still were drawing him with "thin lines" in order for us viewers to see him moving.. and enjoy the fight

But occasionally tey didn't show him completely just to tell us viewers that's "how he looks for Page1/Law/ and others" in that he's completely invisible. But on most scenes they did draw him with thin lines so that we actually can see the fight...

This makes Sanji vs Shiryuu in manga "completely off-screened" while in anime VISIBLE for us fans LOL

Exactly... Sanji did state for ONE ATTACK ONLY from Page one that "it hurt a bit.. but it's sturdy... but I cannot say the same applies for the capital" meaning the town is getting destroyed EASILY"

So again... so many factors play into it..

I don't know... I came here to read the comments before seeing the episode... I got a bit depressed with all the complaints... but after seeing the episode.. and truly enjoying it... I don't understand why all the complaints (SPECIALLY ABOUT SOMETHING NOT CONFIRMED IN MANGA ANYWAY) and people still to this day sometimes throw the line (where the fuck is Page1) LOL

I trust Toei in their filler a whole lot more than our headcanon about what happened... at least they ave connection to Oda.. and can easily just ask him "so did Sanji win? did he knock out Page1? or did Sanji deliver a final good attack and left before anyone else shows up but Page1 is still in the arc?"

I think asking about the "outcome of the battle" is something they can easily contact Oda for

Specially since they fucking contacted Oda about the "meaning of the symbol of Impel Down" which was done in a way to represent two letters (I and D) but in some weird shape.. so if they were asking about such SMALL DETAILS... asking about outcome of battle (so obvious key point event) is NOT something they will miss imo

I like the episode... again 4.5/5
The only way they could have done it better is (add the Germa transition specially made for Sanji) in the middle instead of the episode instead of Luffy/Zoro transition
I was so ready thinking and waiting with expectation they will do it
In fact, I was always thinking that the transition in the middle was made for Luffy/Zoro ONLY because the arc started with Luffy/Zoro
And I was thinking they will start giving Sanji/Nami and co by the time there is a BIG SCENE for them
So basically in mid point.. a transition of Sanji in Germa clothing would have spoiled it for some fans... so it was PERFECT TIME to add the Sanji transition with Germa clothing... sadly they didn't think about that

But overall the episode was great
100% this.

Despite all their flaws, Toei usually do ask Oda for important details and you better bet they asked him how this fight actually concluded. It is canon.

It's quite funny actually, since I for one always said that it's more likely Sanji got a good hit in and then got out of there. It's the smart option (no more town destruction, not getting injured before the final battle, not risking that X-Drake and Hawkins arrive) anyway.
It really is very open to interpretation in the manga. Some here make it sound like it was a clear outcome in the original source, which it wasn't.

For the other trolls: There is no need to bash Sanji, too.
Like I outlined above, it was the smart decision to leave. Not only that, but I think Toei also made it clear that Sanji would've clearly won, if the battle went on. Not only was he pictured as being superior, even guys like Law commented on the fact that Page One can't beat Raid Suit Sanji.

Totally agree

And hey... I was one of the opposite side who was thinking Sanji did actually beat him... and he will not show up again in the arc... but by the time passes.. and the more I think about it... this makes much more sense... Why?

1- Drake came here in search of "Soba shop owner Sangoro"... THEN when he went to bath with Hawkins.. he was looking for "O-soba Mask"... Sanji only announced the name "O-soba Mask" to Pageone/Law/Franky/Usopp..... The Only person who could tell Drake about the name of "O-soba Mask" is non other than Page1 himself

2- EVEN IF HE WAS DEFEATED... which the above clue honestly negates it... but even if he was knocked out.... he's an ancient Zoan... Normal Zoan are known for their toughness... fast recovery... so you can imagine that Ancient and Mythical Zoan are even better at that.... even Law stated how strong Ancient type Zoan are... And with TWO WEEKS before Fire festival... even if he was knocked out... he most likely will come back anyway...

The only way I see it that he was eliminated from the arc completely is if X-Drake actually used that opportunity and stabbed him in the back... and basically KILLED HIM... betraying him... and Drake will put the blame on "O-soba mask" and say Page1 was killed by O-Soba mask... in a way to reduce the enemy count....

So... that makes much more sense... specially since the SHs do not kill their opponents... specially people like Luffy and Sanji... I can see it for Zoro killing someone... but not Luffy and Sanji.. they are too nice... we already got out of an arc saying he's the kindest LOL only for him to have his first kill in the arc after it LMAO.. that would be too funny to contradict it

Moe and rest of candy worshippers have no one to blame other than themselves. Jumping to wrong conclusions and hyping Sanji based on something he didnt do is no one's fault except their own.
There was never any hope that Sanji disposed of P1, his location was reported before the fight started and Drake and Hawkins were just around the block.

Sanji is not Zoro who can end the fight in a blink of the eye, I have no idea why you expect that from Sanji after seeing that two clean hits due to cheap shots left no damage on Page1. The best you could have hoped for was that hit from the sky would knock him unconscious since it was a cheap shot as well...

Sanji is stronger than Zoro tho, he disposed of a flying six member easily, no one is a challenge for him except Calamities, not just any Calamity but the swordsman Calamity. Sanji vs King, the sky battle of the century here we come! Oh wait...

If only people didn't have gone balls deep with a inconclusive panel.....

We would have save up a lot of time.

:few:
Yes that's the main problem.

We know for granted that the anime can't feature different outcomes, only details can change.

It means that if Sanji doesn't defeat PO in the manga, he also did not in the manga. Case wants that we never had a clear showing of that in the manga.

First thing first:
Dear Toei,

I know that toei needs to extend certain panels for anime adaptations but O-Soba's shooting kick was a perfect time to draw curtains for this episode as well as the fight itself with nothing being spoiled.
Secondly, I wonder how is Toei gonna explain itself when Oda confirms on Sanji beating Page-One in the Flower Capital and thus being unable to take part in the Fire Festival.:myman:
The animation was SUPER btw..!!:fransuper:
