Because he had better options. He is not a great 3 point shooter. He could have tried to drive past Horford or a mid range to tie the game. I am not blaming Jimmy though, he is the reason why Heat hasn't lost the series before game 7.
Literally nobody would ever doubt the validity of the shot if it went in.
It was a high risk high reward play but a play that those that criticize him now would use as basis to hype him to no end if it went in.

you're welcome I guess @Roo? 😅

Why are people going after Butler for taking the three?
nah that was a good shot in the moment, it just didn't go in. he may have been horrendous from 3 in the regular season but he was putting in the work in the playoffs and he deserved to take that shot especially in the comeback attempt. Ofc a layup or drawing a foul with only Horford guarding him would have been nice, but it is what it is at this point

I expect 7 games for warriors:kata:

They've had an amazing ride all season after being 11th in the East (arguably spurred by RJ Barrett's game winner nonetheless) but they're also hilariously flawed considering the team basically falls apart when Tatum and/or Brown have bad games, but credit to the team for buying into Udoka's defensive philosophy and pretty much covering up that weakness for most of the 2nd half of the season

I do think Boston is better suited to play the Warriors than the Heat (who would be having the same issues in 2019-20 with a lack of offense compared to the Lakers at the time), but if the Warriors can force Tatum to at least 1-2 games under 40% FG shooting, Celtics are basically fucked.

SuperSonics back to the NBA when?
