Think its clear that both Fujitora and Ryokugyu wont be on the bad guys side until the end of the story, Oda have already given hints on that in the SBS.


Ryokugyu comming to Wano is pretty much like Garp going to W-7, to make for future setups, to give info dump about the world and force the SH to move on to the next Island.


If he is comming alone its clear that wont be a WG take over of Wano, Momo chosing to not open the borders yet is also to prevent this. Believe most likely when he get to Wano Momo will be the one to meet with him, with the samurais of Wano in his back, as a way to show to the WG that Wano is again under the Kozuki protection.


Also liked the ideia of he doing something to make trees grow all over Wano to show his powers. A way to make he leave Wano would be for he to be part of Sword and meet with Drake, that could tell him about the CP0 guys doing deals with Kaido.

because it makes no sense to have a break when there is only 2 or 3 chapters away from the ending of the arc it ruins the momentum. logically the break takes place once the arc is over.
but oda is making many bad decisions in wano so anything is possible.

The main reason for break is because there is this celebrations . Not because wano arc is finally over. Also that editor said it months ago. This might be from their side that wano final script is over. not from manga perspective. There is sh*t ton of lore that is there in wano that oda in no way can clear it in two chapters.

Vegapunk isn't there. His facility is confirmed to be somewhere in the New World and not near Marine HQ.

The reason being Fujitora was not allowed to return to Marineford unless he caught Luffy. He decided to travel with Smoker to Vegapunks lab instead.

I don't think it's in Wano. I'd sooner believe it's at Elbaf due to his previous involvement with Gigantification.

it would be a stupid decision to hold the manga at this moment celebration or not, when the arc is ending in a few weeks and they could hold the break back a bit. if the break is taking place after chapter 1053 and not 1054 or 1055 or 1056 when the arc could be ending in any of those the assumption to make is because chapter 1053 is the final of the arc.
imagine having a break and come back after a month for just one chapter before the arc ends. it makes no sense but oda is making many weird decisions so it could go any way.
the celebrations is just one of the reasons, this is also oda taking a vacation to have a trip that apparently will not happen and to ready his ideas for the final saga. you are acting like the celebrations are the only reason so this break had to happen exactly now and not a week later.
