yep,but now he awakened that fruit.One of the CP0 agents escaped alive to report.Luffy,Law and Kidd will get some big bounties.Kidd will get a bigger bounty than Law(i hope).

kinda off topic, but why does Luffy seemingly do more damage to kaido when he turns his face into rubber? Doesn't rubber increase Luffy's durability?

Or is it that Luffy isn't turning kaido into rubber at all, since his powers technically aren't rubber, but rather those of the god Nika. Basically Luffy's elasticity helps him but hurts others when it is used on them(via awakening), because Nika somehow.

Strategic wise it made sense.If it didn't happen Doffy would lose faster and we would be hating Oda for pulling this stunt.Would call it bad writing etc...

Luffy aint getting higher than 3.5

Luffy's bounty has always surpassed those he has defeated regardless of the circumstances surrounding how he accomplished it. Kaido's bounty is around 4.6 billion berries.
Add to that the fact that the WG believes Luffy to be the mastermind behind the defeat of the 2 Yonko as well as the fact that he possesses a DF that they fear. Yeah it will easily surpass 4.5 billion no doubt. The WG doesn't take into account what we know as the reader. Just what they have heard and we all know Morgans likes to exaggerate what happened.

He gives Kaido rubber properties softening his dragon scales + applying haki so his blunt attacks work
