Rule 2 is why I'm thinking the flower on Ryokugyu's back may be complete bait, since people have been theorizing about him having plant powers SINCE DOFLAMINGO DROPPED HIS NAME.

And what's worst is that he even when going against what people most expect, he still finds ways to fuck it up. "Oh, did I build a lot of questions about how Kaido will go down and make it clear from Act 1 that Luffy is barely an insect compared to him? People are wondering about how all these characters will beat 2 Emperors? Well, they surely won't expect for me to give Luffy 3 powerups in an arc (more than THE REST OF THE STORY COMBINED), one of them being a SSJ, and have Luffy punch really hard and beat him with his strong punch like every other arc enemy before it."

It's like that absolute trash post Artur made trying to justify the comment Oda made in 2016 with a cyclical reasoning that doesn't work. "He tried to make it special and Gear 5 was special because ??? so that's why it's special".

Absolute dogshit when even the people that have to come in terms with everything in the story because their job depend on it, like Greg, WERE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FINISHER AND COMPARED THE LAST CHAPTERS TO READING BLEACH, NARUTO OR ANY COOKIE-CUTTER SHONEN.

It's fucking preposterous but people just need to say Goda and close their ears. Fuck them and fuck their weak excuses.

Rule 3: If you ask for deaths constantly, he will kill off characters you like and give them unceremonious sendoffs, whilst having other characters with massive death flags constantly cheat and make a mockey of death and thus the ones who actually die and have died too.

It's like this cliché á la "If you live long enough you'll see yourself turn into the villain."

Or in others words: Oda as a writer turned from like Superman to Homelander - given how he is ready to slander his own story (+25 years of work) just so he can claim to be ahead of everybody and most importantly "unpredictable". lol.

Exactly man, then others wonder why I'm so frustrated and fed up with this arc, Oda and OP.

I had immense hype for Kaido for over a decade since I'm a massive fan of Thriller Bark, Moria, Zoro, Japanese culture and mythology, Kaido being based on Shuten Douji amongst other things and the absolutely insane setup he gave Kaido since Punk Hazard and post Dressrosa especially but also again in early Wano.

I just can't believe what happened with him in the end is real. It has to be deliberate spite.
"Stop asking so much of me and Kaido, Kaido this, Kaido that, you're gonna get Kaido from Vodka island, no reference to the Oni and a speedrun flashback with an anticlimatic death and defeat and you're gonna LOVE it whether you like it or not!"

Fuck man, I could write a monster essay on how much Oda completely fucked up Kaido and his crew. A real monster one. The more I think about it, the angrier and more upset I get.

The icing on the (whole) cake is that Big Mom and Orochi also stole the spotlight from him in his OWN arc, much like Law with Kidd even though I love both characters and that Kaidos backstory is so freaking similar to Bullet.

Oda turned Big Mom and Kaido into brutes but also gave Kaido really interesting speeches/dialogue and some nice savagery/brutality, but not enough either.

He really did Kaido fucking dirty with not being able to even kill Kinemon either or anybody except Mr Go, if he is actually dead too.

Even though I hate some of Kaidos actions intensely, he deserved much better as a character and villain. I still respect him for his role and some of the things he tried to do and said and such.

I expected Kaido to be the best Yonko in some ways at least too and he still is so far but Oda dropped the ball so fucking hard with him too in the end.

Kaido is such a fucking cool and interesting character but now it feels like Oda wants to purposely sabotage him or doesn't know what he's doing and is just rushing the fuck out of the story and destroying his role, legacy and relevancy too.

--Oda didn't allow Kaido to do that much of anything unlike doffy who was acting and always on the move

--Kaido is split between evil characters like enel , lucci , doffy and honorable like kata so we don't see him being as rutheless and evil as others

--Orochi had more connection to wano and story for his actions than kaido

--Just remove orochi and make kaido and his family residents of wano , where they being oni were persecuted and Kaido came back for revenge

--I never cared that much about his character but his strength but yeah

I think Kaido had a lot of potential to be both an extremely ruthless and hatable antagonist, but also extremely relatable if his flashback would have been executed well. Similiar to Thanos. Everyone hated his crazy plans to wipe out half the galaxy but still many acknowlegwed he got a point in his reasoning. Sadly Oda butchered both of these sides by being too ambivalent and inconsistent with the reasoning of his portrayal of Kaido.

Thats exactly it! The Superman and Homelander comparison is apt too!

Fun fact, I've been waiting for The Boys Season 3 Episode 4 to drop since midnight as usual release time but Amazon conveniently has had "technical difficulties" and only people with Fire sticks at least, that you have to buy to use, are getting access to the episode so far. I'm not sure if it's out yet but it wasn't around this early morning to almost noon at least?

I actually was talking to a friend on how Antony Starr who plays Homelander of course is the PERFECT actor for Doflamingo too. His actual IRL controversy recently too is ironically fitting too lol.

But yeah, that's exactly it. Rampant egotism, constantly told he is unparalleled, a "God", the greatest, the best, the untouchable, the most unique, brilliant etc. Its like parents spoiling a child and that child growing up narcissistic and raising hell for everyone.

Oda has become Doflamingo, Odaflamingo. I might have to photoshop him as Doffy now lmfao.

I remember OP fans before KNY dethroned it at least, were constantly gloating how OP is always at the top of the charts, its outselling the likes of other stuff like the Bible and Batman and such.

You know what they said comes before a big fall? Pride ofc! As in egotism ofc not LGBT Lol. Irony there.

OP is underdoing the Icarus effect for real, too much ambition for its own good in a series all about the glory of ambition and how the most ambition is meant to get you to the top but like in Naruto, hard work and determination are never truly enough no matter what, you have to be born special, a recincarnation of a God effectively, be the prophesised/chosen one or w/e. Be born gifted with a special bloodline and such.

Oda defenders/angels will turn around and say OP and Oda were always like this but they are the same hypocrites and delusionsal idiots who insisted OP was not like other Shonen, that Oda is not formulaic and everybody copies Oda instead, especially Hiro Mashima of Fairy Tail!

One Piece is truly the PickMe/Not Like Other Girls of anime and manga series.
