Big Mom tried to kill Tama and failed. I don't see her getting in danger as big of a concern since she already took part in a war against two yonkou. You say that babysitting her would be a hindrance to the story, when we've already seen how it actually makes characters like Nami and Ussop braver and more useful by wanting to step up to the fight instead of running away. It's also very easy to give her a buff in strength if needed, thanks to the nature of her ability. She can tame giant creatures in Elbaf, and we are sure to meet whatever was inside that egg Roger used to carry around.
There are very few enemies that would pose a threat to the strawhats right now, hell, an admiral just showed up and a large part of the fandom doesn't see him as a threat. The manga has already shown us that the strongest crews in the world can handle having an apprentice around, those being the Roger Pirates, White Beard Pirates and the Rocks Pirates. By having the strawhats taking on an apprentice after then've beaten the yonkou, it would help to establishing them as on par with them, which is consistent with the phase of the story we're about to enter.

On the other hand, Yamato (a Mythical Zoan Advanced CoC user) joining right after Jimbe, by far the strongest addiction we've had so far, would actually end up lowering the stakes during the final saga. Luffy, Zoro and Sanji just got huge buffs during their fights, we've got an ex-shishibukai and Zeus on top of that, unless we get huge amounts of powercreep during this final stretch it is hard to imagine real threats to the crew if Yamato joins.

It is also possible that both join, then Yamato could serve and the protector role you speak off to Tama, since they both share that Ace connection. But right now I'm siding more with only Tama joining, since she already fits right in, all she's got to do is ask. (If you don't think this is possible, I should remind you that Tama asked to join Ace's crew even thought he promised to fix Wano like Luffy. The parallels are very clearly there) While the only thing Yamato has going for her is that she's constantly asking, and all other things her character is lacking people tend to brush aside as future developments.

Won't join, keep coping

It will never cease to be hilarious to me how Yamato supporters talk about copium, while counting as a win that Yamato's long awaited meeting with the crew was less than a page long, got immediately cut off by her having to manage the beast pirates, was followed by Tama being established as not having to manage said beast pirates and to top it off was overshadowed by a sad Tama flashback.
All in the same chapter:lulz:

Luffy cares more about Momo, Tama, Kinemon, and Pedro than he does Yamato
He mentionned each of these characters because he promised he'd help them by freeing Wano, the fact your reading comprehension is so stunted you can't see that is nothing short of amazing. But it looks like you need to have it pointed out for you:

- Pedro died to allow Luffy to carry on with his crew, so of course he respects his memory and name drops him when he's about to defeat the Kaido/Big Meme alliance since perospero caused his death
- He promised Momonosuke to free Wano after he himself begged him to do it, and subsequently entered an alliance
- Likewise for Kin'emon, after he got beaten by Kaido, Luffy went out of his way to comfort him and promise him he'd defeat Kaido
- He swore to Tama to free Wano and make it a country where she could eat as much as she wanted every day, so of course he'd name drop her
He made no such promise for Yamato, he had no reason to call our her name at that decisive moment because it narratively made no sense. Obviously though it's way easier for you to cope by using it as an argument, but it's basically on the same level as C4N arguing Carrot will join by calling out her supposed narrative importance; i.e. it's completely moronic.

We can also mention the fact Tama has no reason to leave Wano since Luffy (as promised) made it a country where she can live happy. Or the fact she expressed Horselina to effectively be her surrogate mother, or the fact Yamato already effectively mentioned her desire to join the crew to everyone else (which wasn't really disapproved by anyone except Jinbe, who seemed to appreciate Yamato's dedication with her Vigil in the lastest chapter and so did Luffy). But I'm sure it's easier to ignore shit like this when it contradicts your "theory".

Keep up the cope though, Yamato is joining whether you like it or not and Tama isn't.

@Peenix coming out from under the rock he's been hiding after being humiliated and shamed for not being able to count properly but I suppose when you count yourself as a +1 it's no surprise

:gokulaugh:

Imagine thinking Tama is joining...

:whitepress:

What type of sick fetishism is this... let the children stay off the ship and make slaves of the wildlife or whatever she has no right joining the Strawhats.

Dude tried to say Tama could tame a beast strong enough to take on a titanic captain to justify Tama's position :risitavirus:

Shit is beginning to become way worse than anything C4N has ever spewed.

I dunno C4N once used the argument because Carrot wasn't been shown that meant it was more likely she would join

:milaugh:

But this Tama fanatic is coping real hard she'll be an Epilogue character at best. Probably taming wildlife to help Wano farm or whatever.

Tama is fodder.

Replace @Carrota Guco who is someone's joke alt with @dizzy2341 and you've got the four emperors of copium
:pepecopium:
Dizzy is Shanks, rarely seen but as crazy as the other 4 or even crazier...
C4N is Kaido, unstoppable even if shunned away multiple times...
Peenix is Big Mom, has the same level of craziness as the former...
RK is Blackbeard, his craziness is unique as compared to the others...
CG is Buggy, nuff said...
Special mention: Jerami is WB, nuff said...

Mods Admirals are right, the world is in chaos now...

Yamato was abused and imprisoned by Kaido for 20 years. Luffy knows this as
1. She told him as much
2. He saw her exploding handcuffs
But when he was mentioning the four people who he's mainly fighting for. And guess what? He didn't mention Yamato
Cope all you want about "promises" here but Luffy made no such promise with Pedro, but he still mentioned him. Why? Because he cares more about those for than Yamato

It's alright, you have a whole month left to empty the tank. :pepecopium::pepecopium:

We already know you're aware of the inevitable.
Luffy immediately after finding out that Arlong abused his friend:

Your shit merchbait waifu isn't joining the crew no matter how much you seethe and cum on your Yamato bodypillow
