The strength of the role has been chronically downplayed by Light, who appealed to the wider set up to sell it as making sense, but from my standpoint it frankly doesn't, and any experienced player who can gauge the level of role power in this game should clearly see that.

If Charlie is faking an active ability, he can't just conjure it entirely out of his ass, so a plausible explanation is that he says he targets a team member and comes up with an explanation that's very similar in nature so he's not outright contradicted. The random redirection part doesn't matter. He claimed his active was protection and linked it to Fuji, who was coincidentally already protected.

Charlie's entire claim was bad from the start. As soon as he saw SK was dead he should have known that whatever he did did not work, especially after no one counterclaimed Ali.
Alternatively this could have happened prior to them converting Ultra.

Already said roles basically. I've tracking one-shot and unlimited protection ability that redirects first negative action that targets my target at random. If I protect Aymeric de Borel it's redirected at person who used it.

Where am I asking you to answer for him? This is about making a case. I can’t just pretend like there was no one in this slot during the day Charles and Kagura first game under fire. I have to look at how this slot was behaving. You aren’t expected to answer/defend what he was doing. Those points are for Town to look at and make an informed decision with the information.

On D4 it was suspicious. On D5 it looked like he just wasn’t looking to hammer unless needed. For not shooting Charles, yes it’s weird.
