Hakai wasn't really shafted? Like, its still a good scene, it just doesn't have a terrible amount of movement to it and the compositing for the attack itself is gaudy. It more than makes up for that by having nice effects works.
This is likely going to be the weakest of the next rooftop batch. Katsumi Tokoro is a fairly average director in comparison to the directors for the next three episodes. Nakamura, Nagamine and Koyama are all significantly more notable.
Koyama's episode will probably have the weakest staff of the next three considering it sounds lik 1026 and 1027 will likely have the majority of the shows talent on it.

Luffy was still recovering his haki. Re watch the scene: Law was speechless, Kidd couldnt do shit if he wanted to, and Killer literally said they couldnt avoid it. They either die, or be out of the fight. Both BM and Kaido were confident in that, but Zoro had other plans.
