Powers & Abilities Whatever Shanks can do...PK Roger could do even better.

1) I am not downplaying shanks at all. With his rcent feats, oda just cant stop making him even better & even more hyped.

2) However shanks hype indirectly contributes to Roger hype.

3) Shanks is a yonko. Roger was PK & his captain. Shanks will never reach same level as Roger (only Luffy & probably EOS BB will)

4)Kaido confirmed that Roger was also haki only fighter implying just like shanks he too had no df & that means in order to have become PK without df...his haki & CoC must have been even stronger than shanks.

All of the above are common sense points & i did not mention anything special but amidst all this shanks hype....lets not forget that Roger was even greater with even more impressive haki & CoC. (& Luffy too would become atleast as good as Roger if not better)

Yeah i know. Some shanks fan do like to put him equal to Roger which is why i made this thread just to let people not forget that as impressive as what shanks did is...Roger was even more & could have done even more impressive feats. Just for folks not to get too carried away in shanks hype. And also for making the case that we will see even more impressive feats going ahead in the story. So pretty exciting.

Roger didnt have to beat anyone to become pirate king so no he didnt need to be stronger than shanks at all. It is much harder to become pirate king in the current era

And an old WB was yonko lvl & shanks is yonko lvl as well( i am not talking about old & sick MF WB ).Prime WB had got to be far more stronger than that yonko lvl old wb. And PK Roger was on same level as Prime WB. Therefore PK Roger = Prime WB >> Yonko shanks/kaido/old wb.

Shanks is someone who inherited Roger's SH while both are similar in fighting style so won't be surprised with the old shonen theme of new generation surpassing old generation. Though won't be having any issues if Oda wants to make it differently (like your first post).

Na. Even in the flashback, Kaido was known as invincible and strongest. So it remains to be seen if Roger nad WB were on a different level to the Yonko. WB was still a Great Pirate like all the other Yonko at the end of the day. Old WB could just be the weakest Yonko.

Nope. already had the reputation of being invincible back then. Then we had King calling him the strongest. We also had Oden saying that if he couldn't beat Kaido then no one could, even with Prime WB around.

By PK portrayal of course Roger is overall stronger. But...doesnt mean that anything Shanks can do, Roger can do better, there still may be some area that Shanks is better than Roger at, such as certain techniques or hax.
