TBH, this is why I didn't pay any attention to ZKK as a possibility at first. I was just like "LOL, how is Zoro going to kill Kaido? Luffy has to beat Kaido. It's a fucking shounen. Dumb theory."
However, I didn't understand why Oda played up Zoro killing Kaido so much, with Enma and Oden's Will and whatnot.
It took a late night realization: Luffy defeats Kaido, but Zoro kills him. This immediately presented another problem. Zoro killing a weakened Kaido isn't impressive, and would take away from Luffy's victory. So, what would fit this storyline? Kaido wanted an honorable death, so Oda would subvert that, since the villain's never get what they want. Who wanted to kill Kaido more than anyone? Gecko Moria. The only way Moria would join Blackbeard's crew... is if he was given a chance to kill Kaido.
The greatest revenge Moria could get, would be to turn Kaido into his zombie. This presented another problem. Zoro needs to kill Kaido as a dragon, or the whole theory falls apart. If Kaido dies, he loses his DF, and can't become a dragon. Solution? Blackbeard can extract DF powers. BB will take Kaido's fruit, kill him, have Moria resurrect him, then put the Fruit back into him.
Zoro already killed:
-A dragon in Punk Hazard
-A zombie Ryuma, who had killed a dragon
-A zombie Oni
All this foreshadows him killing Zombie Kaido.
This will also reveal Zoro's lineage as the son of Ryuma sent from the future by Toki. This explains everything.
Zoro is lost in time, and lost from his home of Wano
Zoro has always gone where he should in Wano (met Yasuie, Hiyori, Onimaru, etc)
Zoro is referenced to Ryuma because he is the direct descendant of Ryuma
This is why Oda is so boy about Zoro's backstory
Why Samurai constantly compare Zoro to ancient Samurai
Onimaru was a famous sword that killed an Oni in Japanese mythology. So, Onimaru the fox will give Zoro Shusui back.
Zoro killed his zombie dad to get a sword that killed a dragon
Used it to kill a zombie oni, and then a dragon
Used it to help defeat a living Oni, who was a dragon
And will now kill a dead Oni Dragon with the same sword his dad used to kill a dragon
There's a chance we leave Wano now, but I doubt it, this is just more bait. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Zoro isn't even on the ship, and they just didn't notice. I'm still betting on Chapter 1061 for ZKK, or ZKZK (Zoro Kills Zombie Kaido), as Chapter 61 was titled "Oni".
Still waiting for Big Mom to blow up the volcano, too.
