Yes, that's why I believe it's gonna happen... There's no way Usopp will standout compared to his crewmates (minus Zoro, Sanji, Jinbe, and to some extent, Robin) if he doesn't do something else special in addition to defeating a "veteran"... It may happen comically or in a "cool" accident...
