But how is Jinbei above Katakuri in either strength or threat? He is a former Schichibukai, sure, but he is also very reasonable as the marines now.

Crocodile so far above genocide mad scientist Queen, unkillable potential yonko Marco and unbeatable last lunarian King. Frankly ridiculous.

Apart from that - always good fun when bounties are presented even though they make no sense at all this time around.

This chapter with warlord hype proves that preskip power structures shouldn't be compared to post skip.

The argument " but but preskip Luffy damaged / defeated xyz" was always wrong.

Characters like Magellan, Enel and Croc were already above most high tiers.

Nah they weren't. Oda already established through Luffy by having him say that Enel would get destroyed by countless monsters in the ocean.

Only one with a benefit there is Magellan, he had Luffy, Crocodile and Jinbei on the run, and remained undefeated in that arc till the BBP ganged up on him with the level 6 recruits.

Give Enel basic CoA and he's folding Kat. His Observation boosted by his DF is second to none. Island level AP etc.

If Enel comes back he's far above YC1 level. That ability is too broken.

he fought two yonkos and defeated a yonkos first mate only to get a bounty slightly above jack? while luffy defeated katakuri and got 1.5 even if you say luffy disrespected a yonko zoro did too when he was clashing with them

Blackbeards Post TS bounty is way, way too low. I remember it being very specific for reasons, but there's absolutely no way he should have been in the sub 2 billion range after freeing level 6 prisoners to join his crew, killing Whitebeard, yoinking his fruit, and wrecking the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates during the Payback War. What in the fuck could Crocodile have possibly achieved to have reached a bounty even in the same stratophere by comparison?

It depends on how you look at it. In my view, preskip characters were closer in strength than when compared to post skip. The fact that Luffy could even do damage to Garp with a punch and endure Kizaru's kicks are enough proof.
So it's more like Croc was already a high tier in Alabasta.....especially knowing that during his younger years, he fought WB. If he was any lower, he wouldn't even be able to stand in the presence of primebeard

Irc Odas main plan for OP was Luffy vs The Emperors and the warlords were an addition as well as the marine side. So this would make sense actually for Croc to have been a “high” tier in Odas mind since he probably was gonna wrap the story up much faster at the time.
