Questions & Mysteries Why was Roger not WSS?

#86
Away from “fanboism”, I think the term was specifically coined for Mihawk, as in it’s not an inherited title that people pass on to the next one but just a tittle that was specifically given to and was only pursued by a Mihawk and currently Zoro.

And while there’s lots of arguments of Mihawk being at least as strong as Shanks if not stronger making the title as legit as it sounds it doesn’t apply to all eras since I’m sure Xebec, Ryuma and Roger were all swordsmen of a higher caliber than Mihawk and in fact even Oden could be stronger than both him and Shanks
Mihawk doesn't pursue Titles , the only thing that is pursued is the factual objective , titles are given by the masses just like PK.
Zoro doesn't want the title of WSS , he wants to BE the world greatest swordsman , so that means Mihawk is the current WSS and BY PURE COINCIDENCE is the only character that has forged the strongest sword IN THE WORLD.
Mihawk sword is SUPERIOR to Roger , and Mihawk FORGED IT.
Roger WASN'T CAPABLE of doing it
Mihawk is currently the only character alive that has a World Strongest title

Imagine what Mihawk bounty would be if :
- he had the title of Emperor
- he had the STRONGEST crew in the WORLD
- he had territories
- he had FLEETS
- he had the "Ex Roger Crew" tax

HIS BOUNTY WOULD DOUBLE BARE MINIMUM
he would literally have 7.2B

We know he's a swordsman/swordsmaster.
Well, if that's a legit official information, his classification is definitive and we can say that Roger simply fights with Ace, his sword.
To me, however, the issue is controversial, it's kinda strange that Roger didn't carry any sword when he met Rayleigh, that he was carrying also a gun when he started the Edd war battle, that his rival Garp was a pure brawler.
On the contrary, he has one of the 12 best sword, he used a named sword attack, in his recent flashback he used predominantly that sword against blade-fighting characters.
To me, this thing is controversial and at the moment it can't be said with 100% confidence neither that he's only a sword fighter, nor that he is a versatile/mixed fighting style character, just hints and impressions and that's why I'm considering all possible explanations

Well, swordsisters? Why was Roger not World's Strongest Swordsman?
  • He carried a sword
  • He fought with a sword
  • He used haki in fights
  • He loved his sword to name his son after it
and yet he was not WSS. Why is that?

Mihawk never once was used in the same sentence as Roger. He was never compared to Roger. Zoro never once thought about Roger as his goal or even in general.
Why is that?

Mihawk as WSS was seeing himself inferior to old Whitebeard who was WSM.
While Roger was being compared as prime Whitebeard's equal and superior. Why is that?

世界最強の剣士 = Sekai Saikyō no Kenshi = World's strongest swordsman

世界最強の男 = Sekai Saikyō no Otoko = World's strongest man

Here we have Mihawks and Whitebeards title. It should be clearly visible that both titles are very similar to each other, in fact the only thing they differ in is the last part. 剣士 means swordsman while 男 means man.

Both titles are build up in the same pattern: The first part is what they are, in this case the World's strongest, that is the same in both titles. The second part is the more important part as it states what group the first part refers to: In case of Whitebeards title it refers to the group of man, while it in Mihawks title refers to the group of swordsman.

Mihawks title is world's STRONGEST
the one with perona says strongest, true
