Controversial The defenitive thread about swordsmanship skills and titles.

What swordskills does Mihawk even have anyways. Everytime we see him fight with Yoru, he just swings it so fucking hard. Even my mom can do that.
I guess your mom Is a Great Swordmaster then. :finally:
Jk aside, according to
One Piece Blue: Grand Data File
Mihawk mastered both gentle and strong blade, they make a difference between those two styles and Mihawk has a perfect balance of them.

Leave aside all this "Dai Kengo, Skill, aCoC is not infused in swordsmanship, hakiman, etc" shit all you have to do is to ask a japanese guy about the meaning of the translation of the last chapter.

He will answear you that Oda clearly stated that Mihawk is superior to Shanks, he does not indirectly imply that Shanks might have some other secret power making him more powerful.
let's ask @PuckTheGreat then.

"difficult work, taking great skill"

Skill is defined as the ability to do something well. That can be applied to anything from running to reading to fighting.

Swordsmanship or sword fighting refers to the skills and techniques used in combat and training with any type of sword.

All that means swordsmanship can and does includes powers like invincible speed, super strength, haki, DF and more. That whole skill argument that continues to be used is stupid and dumb.

Let's look at some examples.

Zoro attacking with ACoC haki and CoA.

Zoro releasing a CoC blast.

Coc gusts is the new air bar
Whatever it is, Shanks and Roger's abilities don't quite fit with slashing/cutting abilities.

Roger's attack went through Oden's abdomen and there wasn't a single cut, Shanks' final attack in the movie made the villain explode, he wasn't cutting anything.

Sad reality for you, but Roger/Shanks' fencing skills are bad, their true skills are CoC attacks, which makes them both wash Mihawk like a bitch.
