Controversial Should we separate the art from the artist or should we judge the art how we judge the artist

no i can't separate them. I can't enjoy any work no matter how good objectively it can be after knowing the author is an horrible person. It's just giving me negative mental image about literally everything on the work :(

If you want an example of how backwards Japan is with some of their laws look no further than this.
Watsuki gets a slap on the wrist for child porn, celebrated even, meanwhile my guy Hideki Tanuichi got yeeted out of existence for getting caught with 1.5 grams of weed, he may still be in prison since being arrested in 2012....either way he's out of a job. So much talent, arguably the best composer in the business, and they destroy his life over one pipe's worth of weed.

I’ve never judged the art because of what the artist has done. Kenshin was one of the first 3 anime I watched as a child, I’ve seen it over and over for over 20 years atp. It’s always been apart of me, the author can jump off a bridge for all I care. What he did was terrible but he is not Rurouni Kenshin and Rurouni Kenshin is not him. Plus there are other people that have a hand in an anime’s success, I don’t think they should suffer because of a crime one of their colleagues committed. But of course I would never judge someone that wants to condemn the art all together, this is just my perspective, I can easily separate the art from artist.

1.5 grams man, 1.5 grams and you could face 10-15 years in prison. Even SAS might have 1.5 grams on him by mistake lmao. Man gave us the greatest OST to exist in Death Note and they treated him as if he was Pablo Escabar for having a single joint. Travesty.

In honor of that man, listen to this ost, I forbid you to click off of it. He's the goat.

Just kidding, I am a die hard fan of death note. I dont have anything against weed either, but many American employers disagree with me, thats what SAS was talking about.
