Even if Law loses, he will do so by pushing BB significantly. The whole point of this coming down to a 1v1 is to showcase both of them. And to probably showcase whatever BB has in store now. So if law doesn't push BB to at least a mid high diff, he won't get the chance to show what he has.

Do you know how many years it took for Zoro to get a proper 1on1 after that Pica fight? ~7 years. Sanji got only one proper 1on1 fight in the entire post timeskip. There is no way the strawhats are getting two proper 1on1 fights within the time period Oda intends to finish the manga, that is next 3-4 years.

The void century, Joyboy, One Piece, D clan all gets resolved with Blackbeard, there wont be much left in the plot anyway.

And, law isn't like Luffy with strong haki like AdCoa or AdCoC


And, on top of this BB also had Gura to land heavy damages amplified by his own haki.
