Heck, most recent example is zoro not letting shs save vivi and one of his argument was Vivi is strong enough to handle it. And, we know she isn't lmao
Thing is don't build narrative around these MCs statements when the character lack feats and portrayal backing him up.
And, they calling someone strong doesn't mean that character would be strongest or will match them.

I stated that two of the most stated something on reference to someone else strength. You example was showing me things zoro and luffy wanted to do for themselves which they didn't do. Hence why your argument was flawed.
