My statement was in reference to the main characters referring to someone else's strength not their own small promises. Which is why I stated your example was poor. You compared a character talking about his small ambitions to that character talking about the importance or power of someone else.
I never said coby would be on par with luffy. I stated he will be able to give both luffy and zoro a fight because he will become strong like each of them mentioned. That was my point

I am not getting your argument. You said Coby would become strongest marine which means he will surpass Garp and Akainu.
But in above post you said you believe Coby won't be on par with luffy but atleast would be able to put fight.
Garp matched Roger(PK) many times so he was strong as PK in his prime.
